The Battle Royale experience is coming to new platforms this year, thanks to Epic Games.
The developer have now announced that the Fortnite Mobile download is being primed for launch, and will be available first on iOS.
For those who want to get the game on mobile, it should be noted that cross-progression with your existing account is also possible.
It means players will be able to continue upgrading their Battle Pass while on the move, and the benefits don’t stop their.
Epic Games is also opening up their new Battle Royale mode so that fans can enjoy cross-play with other platforms.
This will mean that fans on different platforms will be able to party up and join each other’s games in the future.
It should be noted that while all platforms will have access to cross-platform, it won’t be available directly between PS4 and Xbox One.
Downloading Fortnite on Mac, PC, PS4 and Xbox One is pretty easy and is open to those who can run it.
The one setback may be that you have a data cap on your internet. If that’s so, the best thing to do would be to take it to someone who doesn’t and use their unlimited plan.
That’s because the game weighs in at around 9-15GB on each platform, a hefty size for someone with limited data.
FORTNITE MOBILE ON iOS
iOS users can sign up for the Fortnite Mobile gameplay test by following THIS LINK.
After following another link on the Fortnite website, fans will be asked to insert their email address.
New players will have to create an Epic account, where they will be asked to supply their email address and create a password.
Once registered, users will be asked to select from a list of compatible mobile devices and tablets.
Successful candidates will be sent a code to download the game on iOS, as well as a number of friend codes for other players.
Other players will be placed on a Fortnite Mobile waiting list.
FORTNITE MOBILE ON ANDROID
The application process for Fortnite Mobile on Android is the same as iOS. Sign ups are available from THIS LINK.
Fans will need to enter email addresses, create an account and select their preferred device.
Unfortunately, however, the Android version won’t be released until later this year.
“Thanks for your patience! We expect to rollout Android in the next few months.
“If you are on an Android device, please sign up by clicking the button above. We’ll notify you when your Android device is supported.”
FORTNITE MAC AND PC:
As you may already know, Fortnite is not available to download on Steam for either Mac or PC users.
Instead of heading to the usual places, Fortnite fans need to go to the official Epic Games site to grab their free copy of the game.
Players interested in the PC or Mac version will need to set up an Epic Game account, complete with active email and password.
Mac users should also note that some products available through the Epic Games launcher require that Mac OS X Yosemite users are updated to version 10.10.5 or later.
FORTNITE ON PS4
Fortnite is free-to-play on PS4 and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access the online features.
