FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards) is just 10 days away from being launched in the Indian gaming market. On the occasion of Republic Day, FAU-G, which is another Make in India action game and is portrayed as the ultimate symbol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat, is being viewed with high anticipation. When FAU-G’s official link was launched on the Google Play Store, it registered over one million pre-registration downloads which are the highest-ever for India. FAU-G is been seen as an alternative to PUBG Mobile India after that game was banned in September by the Government of India on the grounds of national security under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act 2000.
So, with 10 days to go, what are the details of FAU-G and how can gamers access it? Currently, there is only one link on FAU-G and that is in Google Play Store. That link cannot be downloaded as it just a pre-registration link. Those people who have pre-registered for the game will receive a notification on their phones on January 26. The notification will be from Google Play Store that FAU-G’s official APK download link is now available. nCore Games, the entity that created FAU-G, will also have the APK download links for both Android and IoS on their site. Google Play Store will provide the link to download on both PC and Mobile on January 26 and gamers who have pre-registered can easily download the game and start playing.
History of FAU-G
In September 2020, the Government of India conducted a digital surgical strike by banning 118 Chinese apps which also included the popular PUBG Mobile India. On September 4, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced the arrival of Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G) on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The game was going to be built by nCore Games, a company based in Bengaluru.
Initially, the game was supposed to be launched in October but it got delayed to November and then to December. However, the game was still not launched. At that time, PUBG Mobile India was releasing teasers that they would be making a comeback in India but nothing came off it as the Government of India refused to meet PUBG Corporation for a meeting.
On January 3, 2021, nCore Games announced that the game would be launched on January 26. The novel thing about FAU-G is that 20 percent of the earnings will be donated to the Bharat Ke Veer Trust.
The game mode of FAU-G will be different than PUBG Mobile India. FAU-G will have an episodic nature and the game will be an action game. PUBG Mobile India is a battle-royale game. Gamers will be making the adjustment from battle royale to pure action as the launch date nears.
