Behold the 2015 Takara TOMY T-Arts Project 2 Transformers Sony PlayStation Optimus Prime that looks to be returning as a reissue in March 2025.

What transforms from a Sony PlayStation Console and PS1 controller into a robot and back again. We first heard about the release in 2014 with our first look at the prototype appearing at the Wonder Festival 2014 Summer in Tokyo, Japan.

The full color painted prototype was later shown in August at the Akihabara UDX Conference 2014.

The Japan Transformers 30th Anniversary exclusive release that sold for 10,800 Yen / $75 USD a decade ago, was made to go head to head with the Takara TOMY T-Arts Project 1 Transformers SEGA Genesis Mega Drive Megatron figure.
