Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition Quick Recast, Hraesvelg, Neil Nail

Nintendo has shared more details on Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition details – specifically Quick Recast, Hraesvelg, and Neil Nail (official English name TBA). These are new elements that were not included in the Wii U original.

As for Quick Recast, this reduces the cooldown timer for Arts and can be performed with the Y button. If you’ve seen the new trailer and footage from this week, you may have noticed a green gauge used during battle. If you use Quick Recast, you’ll use up some of that gauge. As of now it seems it can be refilled with auto attacks.

We’ll also mention Hraesvelg – a new Skell in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – which features a Japanese sword-like weapon and a unique form of flight. This week’s trailer showed off its unique flight form. It’s a bit unclear who’s piloting that Skell, but Nintendo says they’ll be cooperating with the protagonist and BLADE.

Last but not least is Neil Nail, a new character that also appeared for the first time in this week’s trailer. She’s seen alongside two Skells, and Nintendo teases the relationship between them.

We’ll also mention a couple of other very quick things. First, at least currently, that new area shown at the end of this week’s trailer is indeed going by the “Floating Continent”. Also, it looks like the level cap has increased from the original 60 limit on Wii U since we’ve seen footage going beyond that. For avatar customization, it looks like there’ll be new options include hairstyles based on the looks for Mythra and Nia.
