Anime adaptation sequel Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will target PS5 and PS4 from 5th August in Europe and North America, with pre-orders opening today. Those playing in Japan will be able to get the game a little earlier, from 1st August.
One thing worth noting is that a Digital Deluxe Edition will be available with “advanced access”, enabling you to play from 31st July whichever region you’re from. This will cost $69.99 and will include the following bonus items:
- Two Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys
- Kyojuro Rengoku, and Tengen Uzui
- Four Character Unlock Keys
- Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima
- VS Mode System Voice
- Upper Rank Demons Set: Akaza, Daki, Gyutaro, Gyokko, and Zohakuten
- Three Battle Attire Costumes
- Tanjiro Kamado’s Kimono (Entertainment District), Inosuke Hashibira’s Kimono (Entertainment District), and Tengen Uzui’s Shinobi Attire
Anyone who pre-orders any version of the game will get character unlock keys for Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji as well.
There’ll even be bonuses if you have save data on your system for any of the previous Demon Slayer games, starting with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles as follows:
- Six Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys
- Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Shinobu Kocho, and Giyu Tomioka
And then Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board as follows:
- One Character Unlock Key
- Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma (All three serve as one playable character)
- Three Battle Attire Costumes
- Hinatsuru (Meal Prep), Makio (Meal Prep), and Suma (Meal Prep)
