Last week, we saw a comparison of the load times for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition on the PlayStation 4 vs. the PlayStation 5. Not surprisingly, the PlayStation 5 saw significantly better speeds over the PlayStation 4, but the PC ended up reigning supreme.
Xuses recently uploaded a comparison of the load times for Dragon Ball FighterZ for both consoles. Once again, the PlayStation 5 came out on top.
To get into the online lobby, the PlayStation 5 required about 67 seconds of loading time. The PlayStation 4 Pro, on the other hand, needed 89 seconds to do the same thing.
Once a match is found, PlayStation 5 users will typically have to wait around 21 seconds before the gameplay begins. The 27 second wait for PlayStation 4 Pro users isn’t much worse, but that time will really add up over a grinding session.
Not surprisingly, there isn’t much point in using the PlayStation 4 for games that are backwards compatible on the PlayStation 5. The difference for Dragon Ball FighterZ on the two consoles isn’t massive, but it’s noticeable for sure.
