Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been played by more than 4 million players according to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. This was announced during Microsoft’s quarterly investors call and are the first tangible numbers we have gotten about the games performance. The game launched to rave reviews and is scheduled to release on PS5 sometime this spring which should expand the games reach to even more players.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a collaboration between Xbox owned Machine Games and Lucasfilm Games.

Reviving a legacy IP

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been marked as a true return to the series glory days as it revitalizes a beloved character that spans multiple decades. Our very own Jon “Sikamikanico”Clarke gave the game a 9/10, saying:

“There’s so much to unpack and talk about in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that I could keep going, but to do so would be a disservice to you and the team at MachineGames. This is a game begging to be dived into head first, with all the joys of making that first discovery, solving that first connection in the broader mystery, and experiencing the thrill of a real adventure front and center – the beating heart of its design.

It’s undoubtedly one of the finest examples of an existing movie franchise being translated across to the interactive medium of video games, and as I said earlier, I think it’s the best game MachineGames has ever made. If you’re a big fan of Indiana Jones – the mystery, the intrigue, the adventure? This is a no-brainer.”
