PlayStation 5 fans have predicted a ‘massive’ restock at major retailers – including Amazon and Argos.

Stock watchers have been keeping across PS5-related news since the console’s launch last year.

It has been selling out within minutes across all retailers, with many gamers still yet to get their hands on one.

But things might be about to change as stock watchers says outlets including Amazon, Argos, Currys and Smyths are expected to drop more stock as early as today.

@PS5StockAlertUK said: “Amazon UK will be dropping beginning of next week (15th-17th) & Smyths Toys to drop end of next week (18th-20th).”

Currys has introduced its priority pass system for customers desperate to snap up one of the console, reports BirminghamLive.

The electrical goods retailer will select random entrants and send a Priority Pass to them, complete with a PS5 buying code. These codes will be valid for 72-hours only.

Argos is also hoping to have its stock replenished.

A statement said: “We’re working hard to replenish stock of the PS5 at the moment. Please keep an eye on our website, where you’ll find the most up-to-date information on current stock availability.

“Our contact centre staff are unable to provide any additional info on stock levels at this time.”

One tracker wrote: “Argos still dropping, if you can’t see it yet keep trying. Add to wishlist from the app, move to trolley. Open in web browser and check your trolley, then select options!”

“Try this out if you’re struggling with Argos!” another wrote, sharing some handy tips, adding: “Please retweet this to help out others! I went into the Argos app, signed out, made a new account and THEN it showed it being available and allowed me to checkout for the PS5! Previously in my wish list, it just said ‘unavailable’.”

Meanwhile, Smyths Toys is expected to have stocks replenished this week – and it’s inviting pre-orders on its website.

TechRadar claims the online giant has shipped another 46,000 PlayStation 5 consoles for sale in the UK to be sold within the coming weeks.
