Playing Against the Wall
We’ve all done it and it can be applied for tennis as well. Use a foam ball instead of a real one; it’s less of a hazard! Playing against the wall can help you improve your volley and increase your racquet control. You can also work on your wrist strength, focus on your contact point and your footwork.
Shadow Swings
These can be done using just your racquet. Be sure to shadow all of your strokes, including your serve. You can also work on your footwork by using markers to practice moving laterally, imitate front-back movements, and the recovery steps between shots.
Bounce the Ball on Your Racquet
Another great way to improve your control and strengthen your wrists.
