Call of Duty and Fortnite still sit in the top two spots, but just below is Avowed, which has shot up ten places since last week. It was interesting to see that it had ranked that highly even then, since last week’s chart was out before Avowed joined Game Pass, when it could only be played via preordering for early access. Now, Obsidian’s fantasy RPG is sitting in third place. I loved it in our Avowed review, and now so many players are diving in, it’ll be interesting to see where it falls next week.
Marvel Rivals has shifted down two spots to sixth. The game itself has done well, but the Marvel Rivals devs have still been hit with layoffs. As usual after a change in the top three, there is a lot of reshuffling in the rest of the top 40. Sniper Elite: Resistance, another recent Game Pass launch, has fallen five places to 17th. It’s another excellent Game Pass game, however — Sean covered it in more detail in his Sniper Elite: Resistance review.
Sea of Thieves has sailed up from 28th to 19th after the start of Season 15, while Far Cry New Dawn, which recently joined Game Pass, has dropped five places to 28th.
Warhorse Studios’ major RPG sequel Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has moved up this week from 37th to 33rd, while our first new appearance is just below with recent Game Pass addition Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader at 37th. Then we have this week’s only reappearance with DayZ at 39th, while Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II has dropped to 40th.
