Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column, we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last two weeks (plus a couple of bonus adventure titles). Alter Age

Alter Age is a retro-styled turn-based RPG starring Arga. While training to prove himself against his father, he awakens a unique skill called Soul Alter. This causes him and his companions to change in age between grown-up and pre-teen, with the party overcoming various trials.


Carmen Sandiego

Carmen Sandiego is an adventure title that ties into the 2019 Netflix animated series. It sees Carmen Sandiego joining forces with ACME as they forge a temporary alliance to try and foil VILE’s latest schemes. Everhood 2

Unconventional adventure RPG Everhood 2 puts players in the role of a lost Soul who awakens in a space outside reality and gets involved in a cosmic conflict. Joining forces with a Raven who promises to return their voice, as well as other characters such as Joan of Arc and Carl Jung, players enter interdimensional doors to gain enough power to defeat the Mind Dragon. The game features action rhythm combat that requires timing of attacks and movement, with players able to upgrade and obtain various new weapons.


Grimoire Groves

Colourful roguelite dungeon-crawler Grimoire Groves follows a group of witches who arrive in the eponymous region, which they hope to make their new home. However, its forest spirits have disappeared and only a few of its plant creatures remain. Players work to restore the land to the lush region it was before, learning new spells as well as mixing and matching them. Players also collect fruits, craft new items, grow new plant creatures to populate the forest, and boost the power of the forest spirits by placing decorations in their home.


Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds sees players joining the special Research Commission as it explores the Forbidden Lands and learns of the threat called the White Wraith, long thought extinct. In addition to including seamless transitions from story sequences into gameplay, the game adds new Seikret mounts, which can guide the riders to planned destinations and let them perform actions while riding, such as sharpening weapons and gathering materials, while also allowing players to swap to a secondary weapon without needing to return to base. Never 7: The End of Infinity / Ever 17: The Out of Infinity

Never 7: The End of Infinity and Ever 17: The Out of Infinity are two visual novels originally released in Japan in 2000 and 2002, respectively. Early creations of Zero Escape and AI: The Somnium Files creator Kotaro Uchikoshi, the games blend slice-of-life and sci-fi elements. Never 7: The End of Infinity follows a college student who goes on a seminar camp to an island. It takes place over the course of a week; however, on the sixth day, events end in tragedy, with players moving back in time to the beginning where they can use knowledge from their previous timeline to try and change fate. Meanwhile, Ever 17: The Out of Infinity follows Takeshi Kuranari and a boy with amnesia. The two, and others, are trapped inside an underwater theme park after a leak floods part of the park. They cannot contact people on the surface and must escape before the park implodes in five days. One Lonely Outpost

Sci-fi farming sim One Lonely Outpost sees players controlling the first pioneer to arrive on the surface of a barren alien world. They will need to make their new colony life-sustaining by planting crops, crafting tools and facilities, learning more about their surroundings, and terraforming the desert. Once new colonists start to arrive, players will look to develop the colony further while building relationships with their fellow pioneers. The game had been in Early Access since 2023.


Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is a bundle of remasters for the first two games in the Suikoden series. Suikoden follows a general’s son in the Scarlet Moon Empire, who seeks out the 108 warriors known as the Stars of Destiny to help overthrow a corrupt tyrant. Suikoden II is set some years after the events of the first game and follows a new protagonist and his friend Jowy as they become involved in a new conflict that bubbles up between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowstown. Both games feature turn-based combat with six-person parties and a wider assortment of characters available to recruit.


Wizardry Variants Daphne

Platform: PC (previously released on iOS, Android)

Price: Free-to-play

Wizardry Variants Daphne features 3D first-person dungeon-crawling as players deal with the monsters and traps within. Its setting is a dungeon called the Abyss, which opens every 100 years, whereupon its curse of death attempts to consume the world until those of a fated lineage can seal it. The mobile release is a free-to-play title with in-game transactions.
