According to reports, Nintendo and Samsung are teaming up to develop the Nintendo Switch 2. Not only is an OLED console already being discussed, but Samsung is already making the processors for it.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is a vastly superior version to the previous version. It boasts 4K HDR and 120 FPS, and games already look far better and smoother. We now know Samsung was selected to develop the console’s processor, and the company is also pushing to develop OLED panels for a new line of Switch 2 consoles.
Samsung Rumored to be Making Switch 2 OLED Screens & Processors

According to Bloomberg: “Nintendo Co. has turned to Samsung Electronics Co. to help make the main chips for the Switch 2, a move that may help the Japanese company ramp up production of the gaming console enough to sell a higher-than-projected 20 million units by March 2026.”
Given the original Nintendo Switch’s current lifetime sales, it’s probably wise to ensure as many units can be manufactured as possible.
Samsung has a proven and long-standing track record of making electronic devices. The report goes on to say: “The Korean company has also pushed for OLED panels to be used when Nintendo refreshes the Switch 2 in future, another person said.
The original Switch eventually received a stylish OLED line after launch. This could make the ultimate Nintendo Switch 2 machine with terrific refresh rates, buttery-smooth performance, and unbelievable graphics. It’s best not to think about how much the device would cost, but an option will be welcome for Nintendo fans.
