Nintendo today announced that the Switch sold a staggering amount of units over the Thanksgiving week.
As CNN Business reported earlier this week, Switch was the big winner of Black Friday. It wasn’t all that shocking considering how old the competition is, and there were some solid deals for the Switch and Switch Lite. Now, Nintendo has revealed how many units they sold, and it’s quite a staggering number.
Over the Thanksgiving Week, Switch and Switch Lite sold a combined total of 830,000 units in the United States. This makes the past week the single best week of sales for the platform. Thanks to this impressive number, Switch sales in the Americas has surpassed 17.5 million units.
Software also performed well over the week. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield now sit at more than 3 million units sold in the Americas. The week also saw strong showings from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Odyssey, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
