LEGO and Nintendo’s brick set based on the classic NES gaming system is finally back in stock after selling out in the past.

This 2,646-piece LEGO set will take builders back to the early days of gaming to recreate the original Nintendo console, a classic controller, a Super Mario Bros game cartridge and a TV to display the game.

To add to the realistic design, you will actually be able to insert the cartridge into your LEGO NES just like you would with the real thing back in the day.

This NES LEGO is made to interact with the LEGO® Super Mario™ Starter Course set, so you can actually plug the Mario from that one into the scene on the TV from this one.

You can also hand operate scrolling for the course on the TV screen for Mario to interact with the enemies and obstacles on the course in front of him.

LEGO’s specs for the NES recreation are 8″ (22.5cm) high, 9″ (23.5cm) wide and 6″ (16cm) deep, making it well-sized for display.

The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System is available now via the LEGO UK Store for £209.99. There are limited quantities, and this set has been difficult to find in the past, so we’d encourage you to pick it up now if you want to add it to your collection.

After all, any time becomes Mario Time with the classic NES, right? You’ll definitely want to be stocked up on Nintendo LEGOS before the new Super Mario movie with Chris Pratt comes out anyway.
