Dauntless and Fae Farm developer Phoenix Labs announced that it has parted ways with the majority of its staff. The studio has not yet revealed how this will impact both games, putting out the following statement regarding the decision:
Today is another difficult day at Phoenix Labs. We have made the tough decision to part ways with the majoity of the studio as part of unfortunate but necessary changes to our operations.
We recognize and deeply appreciae the contributions of every individual impacted. Their talent, dedication, and creativity have left an indelible mark on our company and our games.
We will share more details in the coming weeks about what this means for Dauntless and Fae Farm. For now, out focus is on supporting those affected through this transition.

Dauntless is a free-to-play co-op action RPG that sees players controlling Slayers, warriors sent out to fight against beasts known as Behemoths, crafting new equipment from materials gathered from vanquished foes. The game features cross-save as well as cross-platform and cross-region multiplayer on all platforms. The game originally released in 2019 and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Fae Farm is a farming sim that takes players to the enchanted island of Azoria. Players build and expand their homestead, explore the island, and gather resources as they seek to restore harmony. It features online co-op multiplayer, as well as local multiplayer on Nintendo Switch. The game’s “Cozy System” gives players daily buffs for having specialised furniture and decor. The game original released for PC and Nintendo Switch in 2023, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S verions released in 2024.
