Death Stranding 2: On the Beach got its release date announced, with the game coming on on 26 June. Being a PS5 exclusive, at least initially, PlayStation has taken the opportunity to announce a limited edition DualSense controller to go with it. Though the limited edition nature of it also means a higher than usual price tag, but we’ll get to that in a bit.

The Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition DualSense comes in black for the most part, with orange accents that match the overall theme of the game. There is the Drawbridge print on the touch pad, with additional prints on the handles, with the stitching pattern adding more flavour to it. Less obvious is the name of the game bring printed on the back, in black, on a predominantly black-coloured controller.

According to the official PlayStation Blog post, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition DualSense will be available for pre-order starting 22 May at participating retailers. That being said, the controller will only be launching on 26 June, alongside the game’s official release. We’re of course not counting the two-day “early access” portion that Collector’s and Digital Deluxe editions get.

And as mentioned earlier, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition DualSense comes with a beauty tax that’s higher than most other special edition controllers. Or maybe that’s just the current global trade situation talking. Either way though, it costs RM419, on par with the Monster Hunter Wilds edition, and higher than those that came before.
