HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana embarks on a nine-game road trip, traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a 6:30 p.m. game Tuesday against No. 10-ranked LSU at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. The game is set for broadcast on SEC Network+, available through the ESPN app.
The Lions (11-4), who have won eight consecutive games, are coming off a four-game sweep of Southland Conference preseason-favorite Sam Houston. LSU (14-3) has won five straight, including a pair of extra-inning victories over UTSA.
Tuesday’s game can be heard in the Hammond area on the flagship station of the Southeastern Sports Radio Network – KSLU 90.9 FM – in addition to online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via both the Lions Gameday Experience and TuneIn Radio apps.

Southeastern enters the game ranked sixth nationally in on-base percentage (.440) and ninth in runs scored (135).
Jacob Burke, a graduate of Baton Rouge’s University High, paces the Lion offense with a .385 batting average. He leads the Southland in runs scored (19), RBIs (17) and stolen bases (9). Burke is one of seven everyday players in the Southeastern lineup hitting .300 or better, including Christian Garcia (.373), Evan Keller (.333), Preston Faulkner (.333), Eli Johnson (.318), Gaby Cruz (.308) and Nick Ray (.300).
The Lions are slated to start junior left-hander Brock Batty (0-0, 7.36) on the mound. It will be the first start for the UL Lafayette transfer following four relief appearances. LSU will counter with freshman right-hander Will Hellmers (3-1, 1.23).
Freshman Dylan Crews (.409) and Tre’ Morgan (.359) are the Tigers’ leading hitters. Crews (6) has teamed with Cade Doughty (7) and Jordan Thompson (5) to push LSU to the national lead in home runs (33).
Southeastern continues its nine-game road trip this weekend in San Antonio, Texas, facing Incarnate Word in a four-game Southland Conference series. Games are scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday and a single game at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sullivan Field, sponsored by HEB.
