Xbox boss Phil Spencer has indicated that Starfield may yet come to other consoles including PS5, stating that there are no limits to what Xbox games can appear on other formats.
Speaking with Destin Legarie, Spencer was quizzed if he was able to confirm or not if Starfield would remain exclusive to Xbox formats, to which the executive replied:
No, there’s no specific game… there’s no reason for me to put a ring fence around any game and say ‘this game will not go to a place where it will find players and have business success for us’. What we find is we’re able to drive a better business that allows us to invest in a great game lineup like you saw, that’s our strategy. Our strategy is to allow our games to be available. Game Pass is an important component of playing the games on our platform.

Back in February last year, The Verge and XboxEra both reported that Starfield and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are coming to rival formats, and since then we’ve got confirmation that the latter is indeed heading to the PS5. Note that this report was made before Microsoft confirmed it was bringing four Xbox exclusives to other formats.
