Exciting gunplay, but problematic genre mix

However, the blend of classic Ghost Recon tactics with looter-shooter and survival mechanics doesn’t fully come together. The review points out repetitive tasks and a loot system that feels superficial, having little real impact on gameplay. Another major criticism is the aggressive monetization through microtransactions, along with the always-online requirement, even for single-player.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, released by Ubisoft in October 2019, still carries a full price of $60 on Steam. However, until March 13, the publisher is offering a 90% discount, bringing the price down to just $6.
