ESDigital Games and Storm in a Teacup announced that their stealth-action adventure, Steel Seed, has been delayed to April 22nd. The game was originally planned to come out on April 10th. So, this is a small delay. Moreover, the devs have revealed the game’s official PC requirements, which you can find below.

As ESDigital Games noted, these extra few weeks will give the devs more time to fine-tune game optimisation.

Ilia Svanidze, Head of Marketing of ESDigital Games, said:

“Since the game’s announcement, your excitement has been truly inspiring, and we know how much you’ve been looking forward to a deep dive into a dark sci-fi future on all platforms. That’s why we want to be completely open with you: We encountered some technical hurdles related to platform adaptation when running our platform certification tests. Rather than rushing the console release and risking a potentially substandard console user experience that requires swift patching, we have made the difficult, but necessary decision to delay the launch

Our goal is to ensure that all players, regardless of platform, enjoy a polished and seamless experience. We are committed to delivering the best possible experience for our players. This additional time will allow us to optimise and polish all versions for launch, so they meet the standard we know you deserve.”

Steel Seed will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.

PC gamers will at least need an Intel i7-3770K with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 1070, an Intel ARC 580, or an AMD equivalent. The game will also require 50GB of free disk space.

The devs recommend using an Intel Core i7 6700K with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2070, an Intel ARC 770, or an AMD RX 5700XT.

These are really low PC requirements for a UE5 game, so it’s a shame we don’t know the resolution, framerate and settings these PC specs target.
