The all new PlayStation Plus (an ongoing subscription service for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) has now launched officially in Australia. It enables the online multiplayer mode on these two consoles, but also offer free games that you can play as long as your subscription stays active.
The games are also high quality games and some of them are pretty recent like the Spiderman Miles Morales and Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy on the PS5.
The new PlayStation Plus model currently has three different tiers to pick from (and they vary in the monthly subscription price):
 PlayStation Plus Essential
This is basically the PlayStation Plus you all knew before and it gives you access to PS4 and PS5 monthly games, online multiplayer, cloud storage, discounts, and more.
PlayStation Plus Essential price: $11.95 monthly / $33.95 quarterly / $79.95 yearly.
 PlayStation Plus Extra
If you want a bit more though, the Plus Extra will give you more games, up to 400 PS4 and PS5 games which include blockbuster hits like the Spiderman Miles Morales. The games in the Extra plan are also downloadable.
PlayStation Plus Extra price: $18.95 monthly / $54.95 quarterly / $134.95 yearly
 PlayStation Plus Deluxe
I recon most gamers would go for the PlayStation Plus Extra but if you want to go down to the memory lane, the Plus Deluxe adds a catalogue of classic games like Tekken 2 from the original PlayStation, PS2, and PSP. There are also time-limited game trials offered in this plan so you can check and try the game before you buy.
PlayStation Plus Deluxe price: $21.95 monthly / $63.95 quarterly / $154.95 yearly
At launch, the PlayStation Plus game catalogue will include titles such as Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, NBA 2K22, and Red Dead Redemption 2. There will be more games to be added in the future too, obviously.
