Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now available on Android and iOS.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the acclaimed studio behind Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D action-adventure game that follows a young warrior named Sargon as he tries to save the titular young royal.
The mobile version of the game includes all of the content of its console and PC counterparts, with the addition of mobile-friendly features like customizable touchscreen controls and external controller support. 60fps is also supported on “most recent” phones and tablets.
The Lost Crown was originally released in January last year on consoles and PC to significant acclaim. In our original review, we praised the game for its snappy melee combat, tight platforming and well-designed Metroidvania exploration. It ended up being one of our favourite games of 2024.
Unfortunately, Ubisoft disbanded the team after disappointing sales to move the developers onto other projects. If nothing else, this mobile port will hopefully give more exposure to an excellent but criminally overlooked game.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available on the App Store and Google Play for $27.49.
