This MMORPG offers a seamless open world inspired by Nordic mythology, featuring a semi-automatic combat system and full cross-play between PC and mobile. In Asia, Odin: Valhalla Rising drew in around 17 million players. Global pre-registration is now open.

Odin: Valhalla Rising transports players to a vast open world rooted in Norse mythology. The game features a seamless map with no loading screens, guiding players through legendary realms like Midgard, Jotunheim, Alfheim and Nidavellir. On their journey, they’ll cross paths with legendary figures like Odin, Loki, and Fenrir, while battling gods, giants, and the undead. The game also offers classic MMO content, including boss raids and large-scale PvP, like the 30v30 “Battle of Valhalla” mode. Guild wars and future content updates are already in the works.

Valhalla Rising features four playable classes: warrior, wizard, priest and rogue. The game uses a semi-automatic combat system that blends autoplay with manual control. Regular fights can run on autopilot if you choose, but bosses and PvP battles demand hands-on action. What sets the game apart is its full cross-play support across PC, Android and iOS, letting players jump in from any platform. Despite being a mobile MMO, its visuals, built with Unreal Engine 4, are surprisingly impressive.

Developed by Lionheart Studios and released by Kakao Games, Odin: Valhalla Rising made a huge splash when it launched in South Korea in June 2021. According to GamePress, it held the top spot on the South Korean Google Play charts for 17 weeks and attracted around 17 million players across Asia. That success seems to have sparked the move to a global launch and the worldwide release isn’t far off.
