With Nvidia celebrating Doom: The Dark Ages’ launch with a GeForce RTX 5090 GPU giveaway, MSI didn’t want to feel left out. The company is now giving away three Vector 16 HX AI laptops. However, this one is managed by Gleam.io and involves you performing some tasks shown on the giveaway page here. Each action is worth one entry, and the more entries you have, the higher your chance of winning.
MSI’s Doom: The Dark Ages themed Vector 16 HX AI giveaway is global, except for the countries listed in the Terms and Conditions. The last date for submitting entries is May 30. MSI will announce the winners on June 20 and reach out to them via their social media platform of choice. Make sure to check your DMs/email often because you forfeit your prize if you don’t reply within seven days.
The MSI Vector 16 HX AI being given away (model number A2XWIG) was shown off recently at CES 2025. It comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX Arrow Lake CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU with 16 GB VRAM, support for up to 96 GB DDR5-6400 RAM, one PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 5 NVMe SSD slot apiece, and a 90 Wh battery.
Other notable specs include a 16-inch panel (QHD+, 240 Hz, IPS/UHD+, 120 Hz, mini-LED/FHD+, 144 Hz, IPS). Exactly which variant will be given away is uncertain. For I/O, you get two Thunderbolt 5.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one RJ45 Ethernet jack and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are also supported.
Some time ago, MSI sold the same Vector 16 HX AI variant at Newegg. It came with a free copy of Doom: The Dark Ages, a Logitech G502 mouse and two other games. It isn’t clear if the laptops given away in the promotion will get the goodies. Even if they don’t, you’ll still be able to play the new Doom game (and several others) because the laptop comes with a one-month subscription of PC Game Pass.
