Zenless Zone Zero 1.5, “Astra-nomical Moment”, is coming on January 22nd, and it’s bringing a whole special New Year’s concert with it, new characters and abilities, as well as new games, events, and challenges.
The New Year’s concert from New Eridu’s sensation Astra Yao will be happening at Starloop. This is a celebration with lights, music, and cheer, but this is also the reason for new story missions, since “Conspiracies and schemes lurking beneath the stage threaten Astra”, according to the reveal. You and Astra’s guard, Evelyn will need to stand up, figure out what’s wrong, and protect the star.
The update’s new playable characters are Astra and Evelyn. An S-Rank Ether Support. Astra is ZZZ’s very first healer, and she’ll be ready to support a squad. Entering the Idyllic Cadenza state offers damage bonuses to everyone. She can switch Agents and still remain on the battlefield as a support at that time too. Her Ultimate damages enemies and restores alles’ HP.
Evelyn is an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent. When she attacks, she generates Burning Tether Point, which she can use when full for a chain attack. She enters Dance of Awakened Fire state after using her Ultimate, and she has a new animation when she does. Also arriving is Snap, an S-Rank Bangboo and the characters Ellen and Quingyii become available again.
Version 1.5 will also offer a new arcade game called Mach 25, which is essentially a parkour racing game. Bizarre Brigade gets a new 2-player PvE mode and seven new Dream Seekers. Simulated Battle Trial also gets expanded with Endless Tower: The Last Stand. This is a 10-floor trial challenge with its own ruleset, required Agents and gear, to see how far you can go. The Ultimate Angler Championship is coming for the fishing experts, offering rewards.
We can also expect new cosmetics and a series of optimizations and improvements.
