Philips and Screeneo Innovations have just announced the GamePix 800 Smart, a new HD option that’ll bring your adventures to the biggest screen.

Following on from the launch of the GamePix 900, Philips has doubled down on its foray into the projector market. Moving up from the likes of the Evnia range, the latest gaming projector to enter the market brings massive 70″ to 150″ diagonal screen sizes, fast refresh rates, fast responses, a bright HD picture.

Making gaming an option at pretty much any time of day or night, this DLP crams i n 500 ANSI lumens of LED-powered brightness. Compare that to the previous 900 model that manages 1000. The Led source means that owners shouldn’t need to worry about maintenance for around 30,00 hours of competition and immersive action in whatever fantasy realm you choose. A 120Hz refresh rate and an 8ms input lag means this might actually hold up during online shooters and exports, at least foir the majority of us middle rankers.

Even better, the smart bits mean that Google TV integration and an internal speaker combine with dual HDMI ports to allow plenty of entertainment options for when you’re not taking down hellspawn. Going live in April, for around £999, the GamePix 800 Smart is clearly aiming to be a bit of everything for everyone.
