There has been a new Simulator game has recently surfaced on the PlayStation Store, and there has been a lot of discussion around the game Anime Life Sim, and its odd similarities to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the most recent Animal Crossing game Nintendo has released.
Anime Life Sim is said to be released in February of 2026 according to the PlayStation Store. It is being published and developed by IndieGames3000, which is a small game development studio that have created games such as Pet Kawaii Shop and Sandstorm Strike Force. The description of the new game talks about how the players will be able to create their own perfect anime world by building their dream homes, befriending the animal neighbors inhabiting the world, and players are also able to participate in a variety of daily activities that are inspired by other life simulator games.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is also a life simulator game in which players can create their own characters and develop a deserted island by completing assigned tasks, have new animal neighbors move onto the island, and collect and sell items for money. Players are able to save money and pay off the mortgage to their homes.
Just from the description of Anime Life Sim as well as the cover image on the PlayStation Store, it is very much like Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The cover image that is on the website looks very similar to the characters players can create in the Animal Crossing Franchise. Nintendo Life has also reported other similarities and differences of the two games.
There have not been any other images or any other game descriptions that have been released about Anime Life Sim. As of now, the details about the game are vague, and there is yet to be more information regarding Anime Life Sim.
