Days Gone is the next PlayStation 4 game to get a PlayStation 5 remaster.
Kevin McAllister, on the PlayStation Blog, wrote that Days Gone Remastered aims to be the “definitive way to play Days Gone for new and returning players.” This new version of the game, a partnership between Bend Studio and Climax Studios, will bring new content with a ‘Horse Assault’ arcade mode, as well as a permadeath mode for the masochists and a Speedrun mode.
The remastered version will bring new additions to the game on PlayStation 5, including DualSense support, improved graphical fidelity, foliage draw distance, shadow and lighting quality, Tempest 3D Audio, VRR support, and enhancements for PS5 Pro. As is expected now, the game will have both a Quality Mode and a Perfume Mode.
Days Gone Remastered will also include several accessibility features, opening the game up to more players. These include a High Contrast mode, Game Speed, UI Narration, Collectible Audio Cues, Controller Mapping, a Field of View slider, and more.
Days Gone Remastered will launch as a digital-only game. Players who already own the PlayStation 4 game can upgrade for $10USD or purchase it for the first time for $50USD. PC players can also buy all the new content, the Horde Assault, Permadeath and Speedrun modes, as well as DualSense haptic feedback support, accessibility support, and new additions for the photo mode for $10SUD.
Days Gone Remastered will launch on April 25th for PlayStation 5, and the Broken Roads DLC on PC.
