Get ready for a blast from the past and a glimpse into a chilling future with the latest additions to the Game Pass subscription service this week.
Game Pass is adding two intriguing titles to its Xbox and PC lineups this week, offering a mix of classic arcade action and atmospheric survival horror.
Here’s what’s hitting Game Pass this week:
March 25th: Relive the Classics with Blizzard Arcade Collection
- Platforms: Console and PC
- Game Pass Tiers: Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, Game Pass Standard
Before World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch, Blizzard Entertainment (then known as Silicon & Synapse) made a name for itself with some killer console games. The Blizzard Arcade Collection bundles together five of these classics:
- Blackthorne: A cinematic platformer with a shotgun-wielding hero.
- The Lost Vikings: A puzzle-platformer where you control three unique Vikings.
- The Lost Vikings 2: A sequel
- Rock N Roll Racing: An isometric racing game with a rocking soundtrack and weaponized vehicles.
- RPM Racing: A racing game.
We reviewed the Blizzard Arcade Collection back when it first launched giving it a 3.5/5. We said: “In conclusion then and it has to be said that the Blizzard Arcade Collection on Xbox is a great trip down memory lane for us older gamers, and almost a time capsule waiting to be unearthed by younger players. Seeing where Blizzard has come from is fascinating, and with three games from the days when playability was more important than whizz bang graphics, maybe it’s good that we get the chance to slow down and enjoy life once in a while.”
It’s a great way to experience some gaming history, especially if you’re curious about Blizzard’s pre-megahit days.
March 27th: Explore a Chilling Dystopia in Atomfall (Day One!)
- Platforms: Cloud, Console, and PC
- Game Pass Tiers: Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass
Prepare for a journey into a haunting, alternate-reality Britain. Atomfall, a new survival-action game from Rebellion (the studio behind Sniper Elite and Zombie Army), is launching day one on Game Pass.
Set five years after the real-life Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England, Atomfall throws you into a fictional quarantine zone filled with bizarre characters, cults, and rogue government agencies. You’ll need to scavenge for supplies, craft weapons, barter with locals, and fight for survival in a world that blends science fiction, folk horror, and Cold War paranoia.
Atomfall promises a player-driven mystery, where your choices have consequences. You’ll unravel interwoven narratives through exploration, conversation, investigation, and, of course, combat.
And speaking of combat, ammunition is scarce, so you’ll need to master both marksmanship and vicious hand-to-hand combat, managing your heart rate to steady your aim and conserve energy.
Our full review of Atomfall is on the way, but we had a chance to go hands-on with Atomfall recently and we were intrigued by its potential. We said: “Atomfall Promises a Unique and Atmospheric Survival Experience. This structure is where I think Atomfall will excel… Following a lead that crosses paths with another feels like a jigsaw piece falling into place, but I am instantly then looking for the next piece to further make sense of things. And even after just a couple of hours, I am eager to find out as much as possible.“

This week’s Game Pass additions offer a fascinating contrast: the retro charm of classic Blizzard titles and the atmospheric tension of a brand-new survival-action game. Whether you’re in the mood for nostalgic arcade action or a chilling journey into a dystopian future, Game Pass has you covered.
