After dropping tidbits earlier this year regarding their 2025 plans, Stunlock Studios has revealed the first teaser for “Invaders of Oakveil”, the new 1.1 update for V Rising. Launching on April 28 for all V Rising owners on Steam and PlayStation 5, this new update will be free, and will continue to evolve the game with a wealth of new content and features.
The story for the update centres on the Oakveil Woodlands, which have gone untouched by man for centuries, its nature flourishing. That peace has come to an end, as a ruthless force has infiltrated from the sea: fierce warriors bound to Megara, their Serpent Queen, corrupting the land and twisting the abundant life into fuel for their deadly weapons. Players must enter Oakveil, uncover the forbidden alchemy of the Venom Blades, and claim their power before it’s too late.
Along with a new biome in the Oakveil Woodlands, “Invaders of Oakveil” gives V Rising players more cosmetics and castle features, including the chance to a build a custom battle arena in their castle, set the rules, and engage in epic battles with friends. Or, they can challenge foes anywhere in the world with risk-free one-on-one duels.
The new update will also bring about the “biggest combat overhaul yet” for V Rising. That includes a deep stat rework, rebalanced gear, and powerful new customization tools. That’s on top of the new weapons and spells available to your vampire lord, giving you new combat strategies and playstyles.
