Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column, we look to provide our readers with details on the major RPGs released in the last week. AI LIMIT
Action RPG AI LIMIT is set in a distant future, long after the fall of civilisation. The world is currently infested with a mysterious substance called the Mud, with monsters roaming the land. Dark Deity 2

A follow-up to 2021 title Dark Deity, tactical RPG Dark Deity 2 returns to the continent of Verroa, although it is intended to be playable for both newcomers and returning fans. Set twenty-five years later after the events of the first game, it sees the rebuilt Verroa facing a new threat from the neighboring expansionist Holy Asverellian Empire. Players take control of a group known as the Eternal Delegation, led by previous protagonist Irving’s descendants, in order to turn the tide of the oncoming war. Like its predecessor, Dark Deity 2 features turn-based tactical combat heavily inspired by the Fire Emblem series.

Deckbuilding RPG Gordian Quest is set in the world of Wrendia, which faces many threats including a widespread curse, monster proliferation, and bandit attacks. Players control a group of heroes tasked with dealing with those various threats. The game cites Ultima and Dungeons & Dragons as inspirations, while featuring roguelite elements and deckbuilding. Players build up a party and customise their deck with over 700 passive and active skills across different game modes including a story-based Campaign Mode, a roguelite Realm Mode, and a procedurally generated Adventure Mode.
Guidus Zero

Guidus Zero is a real-time grid-based action roguelike. It sees players joining a host of famous explorers venturing into massive sinkhole that appeared in the centre of the continent. The game had previously been available in Early Access.
Redemption of Liuyin

Action RPG Redemption of Liuyin is the third installment of the Ryukyu Hidden series. Players control a member of a mysterious organisation who arrives at an ancient fortress in search of a divine artifact. The game’s combat encourages staying on the offense, and features a branching story with multiple endings.
Rift of the NecroDancer

Rhythm RPG Rift of the NecroDancer sees returning protagonist Cadence dragged into a strange new world where she must battle monsters emerging from the Rhythm Rift. The game features a new type of music-based combat with four difficulty levels and over thirty tracks available at launch. SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered
Turn-based RPG SaGa Frontier 2 is set in the world of Sandail, which draws from Germanic and Anglo-Saxon influences. It features two story scenarios; one follows Gustave, heir to an esteemed royal line, while the other follows Wil, a young man earning a living performing excavation work. The stories intertwine into a larger plot. Like other titles in the series, it has a non-linear nature and makes use of glimmer and combo systems.
The First Berserker: Khazan
Action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan is set in the Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) universe and tells a story diverging from the original lore, following Khazan on his quest for vengeance. After rising to become the Great General of Pell Los and a hero to the empire, he is falsely accused of treason and exiled to the mountains. Twilight Monk

Metroidvania-style action RPG Twilight Monk is set in the land of Speria, where monsters are ravaging villages and the survivors arrive at Crescent Isle’s monastery seeking hope. Players control Raziel Tenza, a descendant of the fabled Twilight Monks, who out sets to defeat the traitorous Nox and restore peace to the land. Players venture between dungeons on an overworld map, finding hidden treasures, secret passages, and puzzles within. While traversing the map, players may encounter monsters, transporting them to a small battle arena for combat similar to that found in dungeons.
