Star Wars Meets XCOM In New Game That's Seemingly Coming To Xbox

It looks like April will bring us a brand-new Star Wars game that’s very much inspired by XCOM!

At Star Wars Celebration on April 19th, it’s mentioned that developer Bit Reactor will be joining Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games to provide a “first look at a new Star Wars turn-based tactics game”. Bit Reactor is a new studio made up of 15 XCOM veterans, while Respawn is the developer behind the recent Star Wars: Jedi titles.

Join Bit Reactor, along with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, for a first look at a new Star Wars turn-based tactics game.

However, we don’t need to wait that long! As discovered by Mp1st, an artist’s portfolio shows some images from a couple of years ago that appear to be gameplay shots, as well as a menu screen with the working title of “Bruno”.

Here’s one of the gameplay screens that’s been shared by the outlet:

We obviously need to wait a few more weeks to get proper confirmation on this game and what to expect from it, and it’ll be interesting to see how different it looks – remember that the gameplay screen above is apparently quite old.

As for whether it’s an Xbox game, again we don’t have all the details yet. That said, it’s seemingly coming to Xbox and other consoles due to the Xbox controller layout shown in the gameplay image above, so here’s hoping that’s the case.

We’ll let you know on April 19th if this gets announced – it’s one I’m personally very excited for!
