Microsoft’s multiplatform release strategy continues to see success. In April, two major former Xbox console exclusive games are set to release on PS5 for the first time, and they are already topping the pre-order charts on Sony’s PSN store.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, along with Forza Horizon 5, are the two most pre-ordered games on PS5 right now, as spotted by The Gamer. Currently, both titles are beating out upcoming games like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Atomfall, Days Gone Remastered and more. Another Microsoft-owned title, DOOM The Dark Ages, also appears in the top 12.
This isn’t the first time a Microsoft-owned game has topped PS5 charts. Sea of Thieves also briefly held a top-seller spot on the PS5 store when it arrived on Sony’s platform last year.
In the future, it is expected that titles like Gears of War, Halo and Fable will also land on the PS5 Store.
KitGuru Says: Microsoft is seeing success selling its games to PlayStation owners. While we know they have at least one more generation of Xbox hardware planned, I’d be surprised if we continued to see Xbox consoles being made after that.
