Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced a major expansion of its partner benefits for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The new loyalty program is available on all existing subscription plans, including the Essential plan, the enhanced Extra plan, and the Premium plan, and also applies to accounts using the temporary free trial. As part of this offer, community members gain access to exclusive discount coupons, digital bonuses, and free trials of third-party media services from Sony and its technology partners. Most of the incentives are aimed at expanding the content available to users beyond the home console video game catalog.
The digital offerings included three months of free access to YouTube Premium, offering ad-free and background-play-free viewing, and a two-month trial of the Calm Premium meditation service. Moviegoers received a special credit voucher for free movie viewing on Sony Pictures Core. Subscribers also received a discount on audiobooks from the Audible platform, and sports fans can sign up for an annual subscription to DAZN Ultimate, a boxing and sporting events streaming service, with a 20% discount.
The hardware bonus program includes special financial incentives for consumer electronics and accessories. Players can take advantage of a 5% discount on orders placed through the official PlayStation Direct store, and a £10 direct discount is available for DualSense wireless gamepads for the PlayStation 5 console. Additionally, Sony Electronics has launched a 10% discount on a wide range of branded gaming products and portable Bluetooth speakers. Company representatives remind users that after the free promotional periods expire, subscriptions to third-party services will automatically be converted to a paid subscription at the standard regional rate unless the user cancels their renewal in advance in their account.
