Star Wars Galactic Racer and Star Wars Battlefront 2 were top downloaded PS5 games last month. That’s according to PlayStation who published new charts.
The charts reveal that players flocked to check out Fuse Games’ debut title when it launched on October 6th. Meanwhile the rumours of a Star Wars Battlefront 3 fuelled players’ return to DICE’s expansive shooter.
Whilst Star Wars might not be thriving in the theatrical department, it is in the video game space with back-to-back acclaimed releases in the form of Zero Company and Galactic Racer plus continued interest in Battlefront.
Galactic Racer Charting
This week, PlayStation released their monthly game charts for PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P game downloads for all of October. According to Sony, Star Wars Galactic Racer was the 8th most downloaded game on PS5 across Europe plus the US and Canada. The game faced tough competition from other new releases such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Phantom Blade Zero and BeamNG.drive.
Battlefront Resurgence Continues

Meanwhile Star Wars Battlefront II was the 18th most downloaded PS4 title in the USA and Canada (down from 15th in the previous month). It came in 20th on the European chart (it did not chart in September).
As we have stated before, it is important to remember that the PS4 download charts contain downloads made to both PS4 and PS5 consoles. There is no native PS5 version of Battlefront 2 so all downloads are classed in the PS4 charts.
