You may remember back in November 2025, Sony — in particular Insomniac Games — partnered with Oh BiBi to develop a Ratchet & Clank spin-off titled Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble. Well, it seems following a soft-launch to select countries, the game is no longer moving forward with its limited country soft-launch the end of its road.

In a statement (via VGC) reveals the final update rolled out and it’s sunsetting the project, with it being delisted on November 21 and a full shutdown of its servers on May 1, 2027.

“We’ve made the difficult decision to cease development of Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble. On behalf of the dev team and everyone helping to make the game, thanks to our amazing community for all your support, especially to those who have spent time playing, sharing feedback, and helping shape Ranger Rumble throughout its development.”

Microtransactions have been pulled already and Qwark Pass seasons will continue as normal until the May-bound shutdown.

As it stands, there isn’t a clear reason why the mobile game isn’t moving forward, but if I had to guess, it was likely some sort of pivot on Sony’s part who might be starting to zero-in on not expanding into mobile games, much less free-to-play microtransaction-addled fare.
